Tapping Money is a free personal finance website for Indians who want to understand their money better – without the jargon, the sales pitch, or the fine print.
Why We Started
Most money advice online is either too complicated to follow or quietly trying to sell you something. We wanted a place where anyone – a first-time earner, a parent planning for college fees, an NRI managing money back home – could get clear, honest explanations and simple tools to run their own numbers.
What You’ll Find Here
- Plain-language guides on personal finance, investing basics, money habits, NRI finance, the economy and markets, and how AI is changing money.
- Free financial calculators for SIP, step-up SIP, lumpsum, SWP, EMI, FD, PPF, compound interest and retirement planning. See all tools.
How We Work
- Plain language first. If a concept can be explained simply, we explain it simply.
- Standard, transparent maths. Our calculators use widely accepted financial formulas, and we show the formula and a worked example on each calculator page so you can check the numbers yourself.
- No paid recommendations. We don’t recommend specific funds, stocks or financial products, and no company pays us to be featured in our articles.
- We fix mistakes. Tax rules and government schemes change. If you spot something outdated or wrong, tell us and we’ll correct it.
What We Are Not
Tapping Money is an educational website. We are not registered with SEBI as investment advisers or research analysts, and nothing on this site is personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice. For decisions about your own money, please speak to a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a qualified professional. Read our full Disclaimer.
